How will you benefit?

The IESR provides access to a constantly growing and up-to-date catalogue of resource descriptions and information on how to access those resources. By contributing descriptions of your resources to IESR you will:

  • Promote your resource collections to a UK-wide audience
  • Improve access to your resource collections
  • Increase your user numbers

IESR content is multi-disciplinary, with particular strength in the health and social-sciences subject areas. Resource types include databases, datasets, bibliographic resources, e-learning materials, e-books, e-journals, repositories, research publications and image collections.

Manual Contributions

Contributors should complete the quick form via the link below. Your information will be added to IESR within 24 hours and you will be sent an email, providing you with the opportunity to check your resource information.

Harvested Contributions

If you maintain a catalogue or local database of electronic resource descriptions, we can harvest your data to avoid you having to manually enter it into IESR.

Your data is kept current in IESR as it is maintained at source and re-exposed when IESR is searched or harvested.

For us to harvest your data we need to know who you are, the base URL of your OAI-PMH server or API, how often the data is updated, and details of the metadata schema and metadata namespace.

Harvested contributions can be arranged by email.
