Guidelines
The name of a service that provides access to a collection, or the name of a transactional service. Typically, the title will be the name by which the service is formally or commonly known. If the service is within the JISC Information Environment then this will be the 'official' name of the service.
Preserve the original wording, order and spelling. Do not introduce additional spaces, for instance CrossFire not Cross Fire. Personal names may be entered as: Surname/family name, Forename; or Forename Surname/family name.
Make an effort to explain title abbreviations, subtitles, translations or transliterations in full within the title if they have not already been explained within the collection properties, or if the service is a transactional service. Service titles should differ from the collection title. If a collection has many services then the title for each service must be distinct.
Enter the information as a single line of unstructured text. Do not use (X)HTML tags. Formatting tags, such as italics, must not be included. Enclose normally italicised words within single quotes. Some non-keyboard characters may be included as SGML character entities; no others are available.
